Following the concept of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Google in 2012 introduced a GOSF, Great online Shopping Festival for online shoppers in India with the collaboration of some big Online Shopping portals to provide some huge discounts to the shoppers for 3 days in the line of Black Friday, USA. The main concept behind this shopping festival is to promote online shopping portals in India.
Google partnered with some big online stores and retailers such as Snapdeal, ShopClues, Jabong, Flipkart, Myntra, eBay, Amazon India, HomeShop18, Indiatimes Shopping, PayTm and some travel portals such as iBibo, MakemyTrip, Yatra.com any many more. These online portals, engaged their shoppers, consumers with some great deals, offers, discounts, holiday trips at very low price.
This year, the GOSF is going to be celebrated between 10 – 12 December 2014. Some 400 plus eCommerce retailers are going to be engaged during this year GOSF. This year Google had extended the offers for 3 days instead of 2 days on overwhelming response from online shoppers.
